Dominique Guellec is an economist and statistician. He is Scientific Advisor at the Observatory of Science and Technology (OST), where he leads projects applying Natural Language Processing methods to science and technology literature, in view of mapping the emergence, evolution and impact of novel ideas. Dominique Guellec has been responsible for science and technology policies at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), developing policy analysis and recommendations. He is former Chief Economist at the European Patent Office. He has published numerous academic articles and several books on innovation, productivity, and economic growth, in French and English (among others: The Economics of the European Patent System, Oxford University Press, 2007).
