Compliance with legal and ethical regulations

The IntelComp consortium assures full compliance with relevant legislation on data protection and ethical standards.

Summary of the Purpose of the action

You have been invited to take part in an action dedicated to co-creating and experimenting with IntelComp tools within a living lab approach, carried out in the framework of the H2020 project INTELCOMP, funded by the European Commission.

The objective of this project is to create an innovative Cloud Platform that will offer Artificial Intelligence based services to public administrators and policy makers across Europe for data- and evidence-driven policy design and implementation in the field of STI policy.

Involvement

If you agree to participate in the action, you will be asked to be actively engaged in the events organised to set up the Artificial intelligence living lab.

Benefits

Your participation in the action will contribute to set up the Artificial intelligence living lab.  You will benefit from the action by, amongst others, opening up opportunities for joint projects with other involved stakeholders; being empowered with intelComp tools deployed in the events; using, if considered, a test instance of IntelComp tools for experimentation and/or for devising your own use cases, or learning about the operating mechanisms of a major European project.

Risks

There are no risks associated with this action because your opinions and views will be treated as confidential information.

Action results

The results of the action may feed the deliverable 6.2- Report on the Artificial Intelligence Living Lab to be submitted by SEDIA.

Privacy and confidentiality

The discussions and conclusions of this action will be recorded by the FECYT in audio and video,  and just for SEDIA researchers to carry out work package 6 tasks.

There are some reasons why people other than SEDIA researchers may need to use the audio and video recording of the action. This may include an ethical review.

Information provided by you in the action will be treated as confidential and no information will be shared that could identify you as the responsible of a particular opinion or view.

Personal data protection

IntelComp complies with current legislation on personal data protection, the privacy of users and the secrecy and security of personal data, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation on data protection, in particular, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), adopting for this purpose the necessary technical and organizational measures to avoid the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access and theft of the personal data provided, taking into account the state of technology, the nature of the data and the risks to which they are exposed.

IntelComp partners, acts as the Controller for the processing of personal data collected through this form. The purpose of the processing is Identification and contact details of the potential participants and participants in the Living Labs. Lawfulness is GDPR art 6.1.(b) Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract. Data will not be transferred to third parties, unless there is a legal obligation to do so.

Deliverable 6.2. will be a publicly available document. Only your organization, collected through the registration form for this action, may be included in this deliverable. The draft of the deliverable may be supplied to you before publication.

The organization provided by participants does not make natural persons identified or identifiable, so the IntelComp consortium does not consider this data as a processing of personal data and therefore it would be excluded from the application of data protection regulations.

Voluntary nature of the action

Participation in this action is completely voluntary. Even if you decide to participate now, you may change your mind and quit at any time.
